We at the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur, Rajasthan commemorate Holi in its traditional form with a spectacular array of colours and flowers, song and dance. The HRH Group of Hotels is proud to be the hospitality partner for this year’s colourful celebrations.

Here you can glimpse Royalty from up close. Witness a magnificent palace procession that departs from the ancient royal residences, moving towards the Ban Nathji Temple and finally culminating in all its pomp and splendour at the historic Manek Chowk in the City Palace Complex. Observe royal etiquette and ritual as you look upon the royal parade in their traditional attire -finely liveried palace staff, elegantly bedecked horses and the impeccably turned out band that leads the cavalcade through the streets. After the religious ceremonies, as twilight descends, you can look forward to the lighting of a traditional sacred fire where an effigy of the corrupt Holika is burnt, signifying the triumph of good over evil. Haunting melodies accompany this celebration. This is followed by local people performing the 'Gair’ dance with absolute abandon, which you will discover yourself, can be quite infectious!

The evening’s celebrations continue at the mesmerizing Zenana Mahal where a sumptuous feast organized by HRH Group of Hotels awaits the guests. Cocktails and special Holi delicacies with the royal family attending make it a memorable and authentic experience for you.
