Maharana Mewar Manav Dharma TrustMewar has been for centuries, a land of learning and culture, where the study of the Hindu Shashtras, including all their branches and tributaries was cultivated. Manav Dharma is based on the eternal teachings of the Vedas, and Vedantic philosophy in India is not an abstract study remote from the everyday life of man. The civilization of India is an effort to embody philosophical wisdom in social life, and the spiritual values enjoined by the Vedas are realised on earth through empiric means and not by abstract learning. The aim of 'Manav Dharma' is to secure spiritual insight, which lifts life beyond the meaningless into a more fulfilling spiritual plane. Humanitarian service has been considered an integral part of Manava Dharma. The custodians of Mewar have always believed in the universal aspect of such service irrespective of class or creed, religion, language or nationality. This Trust presently owns vast tracts of land as valuable assets. Its activities are limited, and once the land has been disposed off, more funds will be made available so as to continue with its charitable aims.
