Maharana Mewar Special Library
Establishment of Maharana Mewar Special Library (MMSL), in the year 1999-2000 was viewed as a new addition to the culturescape of Udaipur, Rajasthan, in a much larger perspective of the MMCF. The vision which was there behind the MMSL was ”A World Unto Itself ”, An extraordinary space where the past meets the present, in order to contemplate the future.

The objective of this endeavour of Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar includes: Opportunity for Indian & Foreign scholars of fine arts, social sciences, history, and architecture, provide modern infrastructure and facilities for researchers & Scholars of Indian Studies; Onsite & regular training programs for technical staff & researchers; Modernisation & growth of the Educational Zone in the Palace complex; Conservation and preservation of heritage and Dissemination of Information.

The MMCF has recently developed a world class special library, known as MMSL in which the Shiv Shakti Peeth Library has been merged. There is a separate library for the students of MMPS. The libraries have a collection of more than 70,000 volumes of varying Antiquity; professionally catalogued through extensive computerisation and accurate documentation with a blend of latest software’s and latest Electronic technology. To make the Library one of the best of its kind in the world, the latest electronic technology has been blended in the Library space.
