Maharana Mewar Vidya Mandir
Set amidst several acres of beautiful land near Fatehsagar Lake, the Maharana
Mewar Vidya Mandir is the sister school to the Maharana
Mewar Public School situated within the City Palace complex.
Funding for both schools comes jointly from the Vidyadan Trust and the
Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation. Together the schools provide educational
opportunities for more than three thousand students.
Under an agreement with the Adarsh Vidya Mandir Society, Udaipur, the Maharana
Mewar Vidya Mandir School was started, in 1992, with a student body of
8 children only. The Adarsh Vidya Mandir Society agreed that the new school
would be called Maharana Mewar Vidya Mandir School, and this name will
not be changed. The development and capital expenditure would however be
borne by the Vidyadan Trust. In the Academic Year 1993-94 the number of
students in the school rolls rose to 200. By 1998-99, there were 1127 enrolled
students, 41 teaching staff and 35 classrooms. A computer library has also
been started for the school with 11 monitors and supporting accessories.
The Adarsh Vidya Mandir Society itself is a recipient of land donated by
His late Highness, Maharana Bhupal Singhji. It is an independent society,
registered under the society’s act.
The school has a campus unrivalled by most schools in the region. It has all
the academic facilities necessary for the well-rounded development of the
mind and body of our younger generation.
